This webinar will provide an overview of the current adoption of automation in industrial buildings across North America, with a focus on the floor slab requirements associated with automated systems. The webinar will examine performance requirements for automation-ready floors, methods for surveying, testing, and certifying floor surfaces, and high-performance slab systems. The webinar will also address design, detailing, and construction considerations for achieving floor performance suitable for automated operations.

  1. Identify key floor slab requirements for automated systems used in industrial buildings, including surface characteristics and performance considerations.
  2. Describe survey and testing techniques used to evaluate and certify floor slabs for automation-ready applications.
  3. Explain key slab detailing considerations for floors supporting automated systems.
  4. Describe high-performance floor slab systems and key considerations related to their design, detailing, and construction.
