This module provides an overview of the mechanical and durability testing methods used to evaluate ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC). Participants will review ASTM standards applicable to the determination of compressive strength, flexural performance, modulus of elasticity, Poisson's ratio, creep, length change, and resistance to freezing and thawing. The module highlights the modifications and exceptions introduced for UHPC through ASTM C1856 and examines how UHPC behavior differs from conventional concrete. Participants will also learn how to interpret test results and assess the performance characteristics that contribute to the long-term durability and structural performance of UHPC.
Study the materials included in this module. Then, complete and pass the corresponding 10-question quiz with a score of 80% or higher to receive a certificate for 0.125 CEU (1.25 PDH). Continuing Education Credit: 0.125 CEU (1.25 PDH)Approved by AIA and ICCAccess Period: 30 days
