The second part of this virtual seminar series focuses on updates in ACI 318-25 related to reinforcement development, anchorage, and shear design. Topics include new mechanical splice qualification requirements, provisions for post-installed reinforcing bars, clarifications to tension and shear interaction in anchors, and new requirements for anchor reinforcement and closely spaced groups of reinforcing bars. Changes to shear friction provisions and provisions allowing headed bars for shear reinforcement are also discussed.
