This is a recorded webinar from September 17, 2015.

Although ACI 211 is considered the “Standard Practice” for proportioning concrete mixtures, there are other techniques also referred to in ACI 301, “Specifications for Structural Concrete” and ACI 318. In addition, there are techniques used in the industry for proportioning, evaluating and approving concrete mixture proportions. This presentation will include an overview and some examples.
1. Discuss strength over-design based on a water/cementitious materials ratio curve example.
2. Review strength over-design based on statistical methods example (both ACI 301 and EN-206 will be discussed).
3. Evaluate aggregate proportions using combined aggregate grading techniques.
4. Understand aggregate proportioning using particle packing (overview only).
