This is a recorded webinar from November 8, 2022.

Understanding design decisions that impact the formwork design is important for an engineer to maximize constructability. This session will review the factors under an engineer’s control; foundation considerations; column forms; wall forms; beam forms; and slab forms. Additionally, there will be discussion about special forming systems including gang forms, flying forms and engineered handset forms.
1. Describe the working relationship between the original building design engineer, contractor, and the formwork engineer.
2. Identify the building design parameters that impact formwork constructability and the construction process.
3. Explain the considerations when developing beam forms including beam layout, depth, orientation, and more.
4. Develop a Quality Management Plan to address coordination and completeness of structural construction documents.
