This is a recorded webinar from April 15 & 16.
This webinar series is for Engineers, and contractors involved in the construction of concrete slabs-on-ground. Instructors will review potential floor issues, geotechnical considerations, soil support systems, vapor transmission control, concrete materials, slab-on-ground reinforcing, joints, dowels, surface treatments, and curing for slabs-on-ground.

Part 1
1. Explain concrete mix designs that maintain workability and durability while achieving adequate strength and resistance to environmental exposures.
2. Describe different reinforcement systems for slabs-on-ground such as welded-wire, steel bar, and macro-fiber and micro-fiber reinforcement.
3. Explain batching, delivery, and placement of concrete during hot and cold weather conditions.
4. Describe various curing and protection methods including wet cures, chemical compound cures, surface sealers, densifiers, and epoxies.
5. Recall best practices to perform repairs, remediations, and enhancements for unplanned cracked or spalled hardened concrete slabs.
