This module is based on Chapters 3 and 7, excerpted from ACI 351.3R-18, “Foundations for Dynamic Equipment.” It addresses design considerations and concepts of support systems for dynamic equipment. Specific design requirements for other types of construction are found in other ACI documents. This document was developed by ACI Committee 351 and approved by the ACI Technical Activities Committee.

The contents of this course include Chapters 3 and 7, excerpted from ACI 351.3R-18
1. Identify the different types of foundations for equipment.
2. Understand design information necessary to preliminarily size a foundation.
3. Recognize the performance requirements of the concrete.
4. Discuss minimum reinforcement requirements for dynamic equipment foundations.
Study the materials included in this module. Then, complete and pass the corresponding 10-question quiz with a score of 80% or higher to receive a certificate for 0.1 CEU (1.0 PDH).
