This is a recorded webinar from January 15, 2019.

Concrete operations continue even during the cold weather season. Concrete strength and durability can be affected if the concrete freezes before reaching a minimum compressive strength. Sometimes the demands of our industry ask us to do the seemingly impossible. ‘Freeze-resistant concrete’, to many, may fall in to that impossible category. In reality, ‘freeze-resistant concrete’ is possible, and can be affordable, under the right circumstances. The proper ‘freeze-resistant’ mix design, along with many successful projects, will be discussed.
1. Summarize the changes in workability of concrete in cold weather and how this may impact finishing operations.
2. How to develop ‘freeze resistant concrete’ mixtures.
3. How ‘freeze resistant concrete’ acts differently than normal concrete.
4. Discuss curing techniques for normal cold weather concreting vs. concrete that utilizes ‘freeze resistant concrete.
