This module is based on RAP8(22) Installation of Imbedded Galvanic Anodes. The document is intended as a voluntary field guide for the owner, design professional, and concrete repair contractor interested in installing galvanic protection devices in concrete. The document was developed by ACI Committee E706 and approved by the ACI Educational Activities Committee.

1. Explain the process by which galvanic technology protects the reinforcement in concrete.
2. Discuss suitable repair materials that can be used.
3. Recognize the impact of steel density on the spacing of anodes.
4. Describe proper anode placement.

Read and study the materials included in this module. Then, complete and pass the corresponding 10-question quiz with a score of 80% or higher to receive a certificate for 0.1 CEU (equivalent to 1.0 PDH).
