This module is based on RAP13(10) Methacrylate Flood Coat. The document is intended as a voluntary field guide for the owner, design professional, and concrete repair contractor interested in the application of methacrylate flood coats to seal concrete surfaces. The document was developed by ACI Committee E706 and approved by the ACI Educational Activities Committee.
1. Recognize when methacrylate flood coats are an appropriate repair application for a concrete surface or if the repair requires consultation with a structural engineer.
2. Identify structures, such as bridge decks and parking garages with a large number of random cracks with no corrosion, that are suited to methacrylate flood coat repair.
3. Understand the surface preparation necessary before completing a methacrylate flood coat repair.
4. Discuss the selection of the correct material to use for a methacrylate flood coat repair.
Read and study the materials included in this module. Then, complete and pass the corresponding 10-question quiz with a score of 80% or higher to receive a certificate for 0.1 CEU (1.0 PDH).
