The American Concrete Institute (ACI) produces numerous documents related to concrete technology in general. ACI committee 349 (Concrete Nuclear Structures) is specifically related to nuclear construction and design. ACI Committee 349 has developed “Code Requirements for Nuclear Safety-Related Concrete Structures (ACI 349-13) and Commentary.” ACI 349-13 references “Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete (ACI 318-08),” which is the basis for the 349 code.

ACI 349 is intended for concrete structures where protection against potential radioactive releases is a concern. This recorded webinar series from November 2014 briefly discusses the historical development of ACI 349, the major differences between ACI 349 and ACI 318 code requirements and revisions made to ACI 349-13 since the previously published ACI 349-06 code.
View the four webinar recordings. Complete a 10-question quiz for each of the four modules with a score of 80% or higher to receive a certificate PDH credit. Total Continuing Education Credit: 0.5 CEU (5 PDH).
