This is a recorded webinar series from December 6, 2016.

The session will review the basic types of concrete pumps, including trailer-mounted pumps, truck-mounted pumps, and separate placing booms. Concrete pumpability is affected by a number of factors, including the mix design, aggregate gradations, aggregate moisture content, air content, admixtures, and slump. The effects of each of these variables for normal and lightweight concrete will be discussed. Field practices, including a pumping trial and pre-planning preparation, will also be covered.
1. Understand the applications for concrete pumping.
2. Recognize and understand the basics of concrete pumping equipment.
3. Identify proper concrete mixtures for good pumpability.
4. Summarize best practices for planning, preparation, and field operations.
