This module covers Chapters 1 through 3 of ACI 355.4-11, “Qualification of Post-Installed Adhesive Anchors in Concrete (ACI 355.4-11).” This document prescribes testing programs and evaluation requirements for post-installed adhesive anchors intended for use in concrete under the design provisions of ACI 318. These chapters cover the types of adhesive anchor systems qualified by this standard, the definition of terms used, and the general requirements.
This document is covered in three parts.
1. Identify the dimensional limits for adhesive anchors covered by this qualification procedure.
2. Recognize which tests are required and optional for adhesive anchor systems.
3. Understand the test program parameters for uncracked, and cracked and uncracked concrete.
4. Find the minimum number of anchors to be tested for various conditions.
Read and study the material for this module. Then, complete and pass the corresponding 10-question quiz with a score of 80% or higher to receive a certificate for 0.1 CEU (1.0 PDH).
