This module covers Chapters 7 through 12 of ACI 355.2-07, “Qualification of Post-Installed Mechanical Anchors in Concrete (ACI 355.2-07). This document prescribes testing programs and evaluation requirements for post-installed mechanical anchors intended for use in concrete under the design provisions of ACI 318. These chapters cover the reference, reliability, and service-condition testing. Also included is the anchor categories, presentation of anchor test data, and requirements for the independent testing and evaluation agency (ITEA).

This document is covered in two parts.
1. Understand how to calculate the ratio of the characteristic capacity (Nb,r) in each reliability test.
2. Recognize the purpose of reference tests used to establish baseline values for the reliability and service-conditions tests.
3. Explain how to determine which anchor category to assign for each combination of anchor diameter and embedment depth.
4. Describe the loading pattern for a simulated seismic-shear test.
Read and study the material for this module. Then, complete and pass the corresponding 10-question quiz with a score of 80% or higher to receive a certificate for 0.1 CEU (1.0 PDH).
