This module based on a document published by RILEM, "Casting of Self Compacting Concrete," (RILEM TC 188-CSC) covers the introduction through Section 8 Quality Assurance. It presents various aspects of the self compacting concrete production process from the handling of raw materials through finishing.

1. Explain the breakthroughs that allowed the development of self compacting concrete (SCC).
2. Identify the required properties of fresh SCC.
3. Describe the key constituents of SCC and their handling.
4. Compare the test methods for quality assurance.
