This module is based on RAP6(20) Vertical and Overhead Spall Repair by Hand Application. The document is intended as a voluntary field guide for the owner, design professional, and concrete repair contractor interested in performing spall repairs by hand. The document was developed by ACI Committee E706 and approved by the ACI Educational Activities Committee.

1. Explain the importance reviewing the root cause of damage prior to selection of a repair material and application method.
2. Recognize the undercutting recommendations for concrete with corroded reinforcing steel.
3. Provide examples of the types of repairs for which this application is useful.
4. Identify the proper treatment of exposed reinforcement when repairing concrete with corroded reinforcing steel.

Read and study the materials included in this module. Then, complete and pass the corresponding 10-question quiz with a score of 80% or higher to receive a certificate for 0.1 CEU (equivalent to 1.0 PDH).
