ACI CODE-562-25 is the fifth edition of the Code for the Assessment, Repair and Rehabilitation of Concrete Structures. Part 1 of this two-part webinar series will provide a brief overview of the new content in four of the Code chapters. The webinar will help engineers understand the applicability of the Code when used with an Existing Building Code or as a stand-alone code for the assessment, repair, and rehabilitation of existing structures. The webinar will also summarize new requirements for the assessment, evaluation, and analysis of an existing concrete structure to inform the need for repair or rehabilitation, and provide the information needed for repair design.
Learning Objectives:
1. Summarize the new material and revised requirements in the new edition of the Code.
2. Describe the requirements for use of ACI CODE-562-25 along with an existing code or as a standalone code.
3. Discuss the different assessment types defined in the Code and explain when each type may be applied.
4. Describe the differences between load combinations and strength reduction factors used for structural evaluation and repair design and new structure design.
Study the materials included in this module. Then, complete and pass the corresponding 10-question quiz with a score of 80% or higher to receive a certificate for 0.1 CEU (1.0 PDH).
