The 2025 editions of ACI CODE-562, Assessment, Repair, and Rehabilitation of Existing Concrete Structures and ACI SPEC-563, Specification for Repair of Structural Concrete in Buildings introduce significant revisions and new technical requirements. This course provides an overview of the major changes in the ACI Code 562- 2025 editions, focusing on updated assessment procedures, evaluation methods, load combinations, durability considerations, and new provisions for externally reinforced and fire-damaged concrete structures. The presentations emphasize practical application of the code for engineers involved in assessing and rehabilitating existing concrete structures.

1. Apply ACI CODE-562-25 and ACI SPEC-563-25 to the assessment and repair of existing concrete structures.
2. Identify appropriate assessment methods (preliminary, detailed, or reliability-based) based on structural condition and available information.
3. Evaluate existing concrete members using updated load combinations, strength reduction factors, and material verification requirements.
4. Assess durability issues, external reinforcement systems, and fire-damaged concrete structures in accordance with the 2025 provisions.

Study the materials included in this module. Then, complete and pass the corresponding 10-question quiz with a score of 80% or higher to receive a certificate for 0.15 CEU (1.5 PDH).
