This is a recorded webinar from September 10, 2019.

This webinar includes discussion of the material characteristics of Grade 100 (690) ASTM A1035/A1035M deformed steel bars and the recommended design criteria for beams, columns, slab, systems, walls, and footings for Seismic Design Category (SDC) A, B, or C, and for structural components not designated as part of the seismic-force-resisting system for SDC D, E, or F in accordance to ACI 439.6R-19 which was published prior to the release of ACI 318-19 . The recommendations address only those requirements of ACI 318-14 that limit efficient use of such steel bars. Other code requirements are not affected. In addition, the webinar includes discussion of the use of ASTM A1035/A1035M Grade 100 (690) utilizing the requirements of ACI 318-19.
1. Explain the mechanical properties of ASTM A1035/A1035M Grade 100 (690) bars.
2. Describe flexural design procedures according to ACI 439-6R-19 using ASTM A1035 Grade 100 bars
3. Describe flexural design procedures according to ACI 318 using ASTM A1035 Grade 100 bars.
4. Review the procedure for determining the development length of ASTM A1035 Grade 100 bars.
