This is a recorded webinar from April 6, 2021.

Polymer concrete has been introduced to the market in the 1970s and has been proven important construction material providing attractive characteristics compared with Portland cement concrete. This webinar will cover the basic knowledge of polymer concrete, providing a guide to practicing engineers and contractors on the different types of polymer concrete, polymers used to produce polymer concrete, mechanical and durability characteristics of polymer concrete, and design of polymer concrete. Throughout the webinar, we will also demonstrate several example applications of polymer concrete in buildings, bridges, and other civil infrastructure.
1. Describe the different polymers used to produce polymer concrete and the advantage and limitations of each polymer.
2. Review the mechanical and durability characteristics of polymer concrete.
3. Summarize the fundamentals for polymer concrete design compared with Portland cement concrete.
4. Identify the different polymer concrete types and the various polymer concrete applications in buildings, bridges, and civil infrastructure.
